Kampung fried rice is a traditional dish from Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia and Indonesia. It's made by stir-frying cooked rice with diced vegetables such as onions, carrots, and cucumber, along with spices like lemongrass and chili paste to add flavor. Sometimes, it is also made with diced meat or shrimp for added protein. The dish is named "Kampung" which means village in Malay, and is commonly associated with home-style cooking and simple, hearty meals. It's typically served as a main dish and is enjoyed for its delicious and fragrant flavors.
